INVESTOR

Carli Lloyd is a two-time World Cup Champion, two-time Olympic gold medalist, and two-time FIFA Player of the Year. She retired from the NWSL in 2021 after a seasoned professional athletic career playing for the U.S. Women’s National Team and NJ/NY Gotham FC. During her time on the field, she scored 134 goals, the third-highest of all time in USWNT history; 64 assists, the sixth-highest of all time in USWNT history; and eight hat tricks, which is tied for the most of all-time in USWNT history, among many other accomplishments.

Prior to the start of her NWSL career, Lloyd attended Rutgers University where she played for the Scarlet Knights. She has been honored at the institution as a Rutgers University Hall of Distinguished Alumni.

As part of her new role as a minority owner, Lloyd will act as a consultant and advisor to Gotham FC to help boost the club’s profile in local, national, and international markets. She will also collaborate with Club Chair Tammy Murphy, Managing Owner Ed Nalbandian, and club leadership on a variety of club initiatives designed to promote the club and support its players.
