BIOGRAPHY

PROFESSIONAL2022:

2022: Mewis played a total of 23 matches between the regular season and challenge cup, where she totaled four goals and four assists. This was her first full season with Gotham FC. 2021: Mewis posted three goals and four assists through the regular season. She also played in two matches, tallying a pair of goals during the Challenge Cup. 2020: Mewis helped lead Houston Dash to the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup Championship, appearing in six matches during the tournament, totaling a goal and an assist. Mewis started in four matches during the Fall Series, scoring two goals and adding three assists. 2019: She played in 22 matches, posting four goals and an assist. 2018: Mewis scored two goals in 11 match appearances during her first full season with Houston Dash. Mewis was voted onto the NWSL’s May 2018 Team of the Month. 2017: Mewis started the 2017 season with Washington Spirit where she appeared in 19 matches, scored three goals and had an assist. On August 21 Mewis was traded to Chicago Red Stars where she scored a goal in her first and only appearance for the team. On August 30 Mewis was traded to Houston Dash where she played five matches to close out the season. 2016: Returning to Boston Breakers, Mewis made 14 appearances, scored one goal and an assist. 2015-16: Mewis signed a one-year contract to be on loan with FC Bayern Munich. She made 7 appearances and scored one goal. 2015: She made 20 appearances and scored 6 goals with Boston Breakers. 2014: Mewis joined Iga FC Kunoichi of the Japanese Nadeshiko League first division on loan. Mewis scored five goals in seven games. 2014: Mewis signed with Boston Breakers and made 17 appearances where she scored 3 goals. 2013: Mewis made 20 starts as a rookie this year. She was taken with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2013 NWSL Draft by FC Kansas City. Joining for the final two weeks of the 2012-2013 season, Mewis signed with the Australian W-League team, Canberra United FC. She scored one goal during both of her appearances with the team.

COLLEGE

Mewis played for Boston College from 2009-12. She finished her collegiate career with 39 goals, 38 assists and nine game-winning goals. Mewis is Boston College’s all-time leading scorer in the program with 116 total points. She is a two-time Hermann Trophy Semifinalist, was named to the NSCAA First Team All-American as a senior, and is a two-time All-ACC First Team honoree. She was also named to the 2011 NSCAA Division I All-America Third Team and NSCAA Southeast Regional First Team.

INTERNATIONAL

2023: 2023 SheBelieves Cup Champion. 2022: 2022 SheBelieves Cup Champion. She scored three goals in her 13 appearances. 2021: 2021 SheBelieves Cup Champion. Mewis made 17 appearances, scored two goals and had two assists. 2020: Mewis was called to the full senior training camps in October and November. She made her first appearance in over six years, in a friendly match. Here, she scored her first goal in 2,722 days, the longest span between goals in U.S. history. 2019: After five years, Mewis was called to the USWNT talent identification training camp. 2014: Mewis appeared with USWNT five times. 2013: Mewis earned her first call to the national training camp at the senior level. She made her debut with the team in a friendly match and later was placed on the 2013 Algarve Cup roster. She totaled 10 appearances and scored her first international goal with the team, her only goal of this year. 2010: Mewis represented the USA during the U-20 Women’s World Cup. 2008: Mewis co-captained the United States U-17 team during the 2008 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, where the team finished second in the tournament. She scored two goals throughout the tournament and was the recipient of the Bronze Ball, honoring her as the tournament’s best player.
