BIOGRAPHY

PROFESSIONAL:

2023: After eight years away from the sport, Farrelly made a spectacular return in 2023. She appeared in 18 matches and started in seven, recording 817 minutes and one assist.

2016: Farrelly was traded from Portland Thorns FC to Boston Breakers. Farrelly sat out for the season due to injuries sustained in a car accident. In October of this year, Seattle Reign FC selected Farrelly off the NWSL Re-Entry Wire. She went on to announce her retirement in December of the same year.

2014-15: Farrelly was traded to Portland Thorns FC. During her two seasons with the club, she made 36 appearances and scored two goals.

2013-14: To wrap up the 2013 season, Farrelly rejoined Apollon Limassol on loan from FC Kansas City. She made 10 appearances here. Farrelly signed with FC Kansas City, making 16 appearances and scoring one goal during the inaugural season of the NWSL.

2012-13: She went overseas to play with Apollon Limassol from 2012-13. She made five starts in her five appearances with the UEFA Women's Champions League club. She also scored six goals during this stint.

2012: Farrelly signed with the New York Fury, a part of the WPSL Elite.

2011: Farrelly was the number two overall pick in the 2011 WPS Draft by the Philadelphia Independence. With this club, she scored one goal and had two assists in her 14 appearances.

COLLEGE:
2007-10: Farrelly played for the University of Virginia. During all four years with the team, she started in every match. During her freshman and sophomore year she was ranked third on the team with five goals. She made four assists during her freshman year, and three as a sophomore. As a junior, she led the team in scoring with eight goals and an equal number of assists. As a senior, Farrelly lead the Cavaliers with 12 goals and seven assists. This year she was named the University of Virginia's top female athlete of 2010–11. Farrelly ranks eighth in University of Virginia history with 84 points scored in her career and eighth for most in a season with 31. Over her four years, Farrelly was named to the Second Team NSCAA for both All-Mid-Atlantic and two time All-American. She was named to the ACC All-Tournament Team and NSCAA and Soccer Buzz All Mid-Atlantic Region. and was a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist. She was named Top Drawer Soccer Co-National Rookie of the Year and ACC Offensive Player of the Year. She earned four straight All-ACC selections and was a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist twice.

INTERNATIONAL
2023: Farrelly represented Ireland at the 2023 Women’s World Cup. Farrelly has represented the United States at the U-15, U-16, U-17, U-20, and U-23 levels.
