2025 (Gotham FC): Won her second title with Gotham FC. Closed the regular season with 117 career appearances for the club, the most in Gotham FC history, along with 91 starts — tying Erica Skroski for second all-time behind Sarah Woldmoe’s 101. Reached 8,315 career minutes, the second-most in club history behind Woldmoe’s 9,164.
2024 (Gotham FC): Scored her first NWSL goal and recorded two assists in 16 matches (seven starts). Made her 95th regular-season appearance in the final match of the season.
2023 (Gotham FC): Appeared in 10 matches with six starts, helping the club capture its first NWSL Championship.
2022 (Gotham FC): Appeared in 17 matches, making 16 starts.
2021 (Gotham FC): Played in 11 matches with eight starts, finishing with 31 clearances and an 85.7% passing accuracy.
2020 (Gotham FC): Recorded nine clearances, three blocks and three interceptions across four appearances in the NWSL Fall Series.
2019 (Gotham FC): Missed the entire season due to injury.
2018 (Gotham FC): Made 21 appearances, tallying 65 clearances, 15 blocks and 40 interceptions.
2017 (Gotham FC): Selected 10th overall in the 2017 NWSL Draft. Appeared in 21 matches as a rookie, recording one assist along with 71 clearances, 14 blocks and 42 interceptions.
During her collegiate career at USC from 2013 to 2016, Freeman made 69 appearances with 67 starts, recording two goals and nine assists. She helped lead the Trojans to the 2016 national championship and was named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year. A three-time All-Pac-12 selection, she also earned a place on the 2015 NSCAA All-Pacific Region Second Team.
Freeman represented the United States on the U-23, U-20 and U-17 Youth National Teams. She was a member of the U-17 World Cup qualifying team.
Freeman, a nine-year NWSL veteran, has spent her entire professional career with Gotham FC after being selected tenth overall in the 2017 NWSL Draft, making her the club’s longest-tenured player. Known for her distinctive game-day style and love of thrift shopping, she has become one of the club’s most recognizable figures. She helped lead Gotham FC to NWSL Championships in both 2023 and 2025, winning both titles with the team she has represented throughout all nine of her seasons.
