Davidson, Lavelle Named to USWNT Roster for October Matches Against Spain

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (Sept. 29, 2026) – Gotham FC defender Tierna Davidson and midfielder Rose Lavelle have been named to the 26-player U.S. Women’s National Team roster for a pair of matches against reigning FIFA Women’s World Cup champion Spain.

Davidson and Lavelle will represent the United States on Oct. 10 at Audi Field in Washington, D.C., and Oct. 13 at Subaru Park in Chester, Pennsylvania.

Gotham FC’s club captain, Davidson (70 caps, 3 goals) has anchored the best defense in the NWSL this season, with Gotham conceding a league-low 20 goals. The defender has also produced the best attacking season of her career, recording two goals and one assist in NWSL play this year.

Named the 2025 U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year, Lavelle (122 caps, 29 goals) is one of three players on the roster with more than 100 international appearances. The midfielder, who recently signed a contract extension with Gotham FC through 2029, has recorded four goals and two assists in NWSL play this season.

The United States will open the two-match series against Spain on Oct. 10 at Audi Field in Washington, D.C. (2:30 p.m. ET; TBS and HBO Max in English; Telemundo, Universo and Peacock in Spanish). The teams will meet again on Oct. 13 at Subaru Park in Chester, Pennsylvania (7 p.m. ET; TNT and HBO Max in English; Universo and Peacock in Spanish).

The matches will feature the top two teams in the FIFA Women’s World Rankings, with Spain currently ranked No. 1 and the United States No. 2.
