Four Gotham FC Players Called Up to U.S. U-23 Women’s National Team for Spain Trip

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (April 2, 2026) – Gotham FC will be well represented on the international stage this month, with four players named to the U.S. Under-23 Youth National Team for its upcoming training camp and competition in Spain.

Forwards Andrea Kitahata and Jordynn Dudley and midfielders Sofia Cook and Sarah Schupansky have been named to the 24-player roster for the April 7-17 camp, which will feature three matches as part of the WU23 Friendly Finals.

The United States will face the Netherlands on April 10 at Estadio Nueva Condomina in Murcia before taking on Denmark on April 13 at Pinatar Arena. The final match will come against either France or Scotland on April 16, depending on results.

Gotham FC’s four selections are the most of any club on the roster, with the squad featuring 20 NWSL players as part of a key development group within U.S. Soccer’s player pathway. The club also had the most players (five) recently named to the senior U.S. Women’s National Team for its upcoming camp running simultaneously on the West Coast.

Dudley earns the call-up after making a strong start to her professional career, debuting in Gotham’s season-opening win over Boston Legacy FC and earning her first start in the club’s home opener against the North Carolina Courage.

Kitahata recently made her professional debut against North Carolina before earning her first NWSL start against Denver, quickly becoming part of Gotham’s attacking rotation early in the season.

In midfield, Cook and Schupansky have both contributed to Gotham’s early-season performances. Cook made her first NWSL start against Denver and has featured as part of the club’s midfield rotation, while Schupansky has started all three matches she has appeared in this season.
