JERSEY CITY, N.J. (Oct. 26, 2026) – Gotham FC’s regular season finale against Utah Royals FC on Sunday at Sports Illustrated Stadium will air nationally on ESPN, with the club aiming to secure its first NWSL Shield and the No. 1 seed in the playoffs.
Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. ET, with all eight NWSL Decision Day matches beginning simultaneously. Gotham FC’s matchup will be the only match broadcast nationally on ESPN, while the remaining seven matches will stream on the ESPN App.
Gotham FC (17-5-7, 58 points) enters Decision Day in first place in the NWSL table and in control of its Shield destiny, needing a win or draw against Utah to claim the first regular season title in club history, regardless of other results. The club can also secure the Shield with a loss if San Diego Wave FC fails to win its final match against Bay FC.
Awarded to the club that finishes atop the NWSL regular season standings, the Shield would mark another historic milestone for Gotham FC. Claiming the club’s first Shield would secure the No. 1 seed in the playoffs and add a fifth major trophy to Gotham FC’s collection since 2023.
