NJ/NY Gotham FC Announces 2024 Season Schedule

HARRISON, NJ (Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024) - NJ/NY Gotham FC and the National Women’s Soccer League today announced the club’s 2024 schedule, which consists of 13 home and 13 away matches for a full slate of 26 regular-season games that will combine the electrifying talent returning from last season with the added star power of new high-profile signings.
With all eyes on Gotham FC, fans will have their first opportunity to witness the collection of FIFA Women’s World Cup Champions, Olympians, and NWSL Champions prior to the start of the regular season during the reimagined NWSL Challenge Cup on March 15 at Red Bull Arena (8 p.m. ET, Prime Video). The star-studded, single-match showdown will feature a massive head-to-head meeting of 12 U.S. Women’s National Team players.
The NWSL Champions from Gotham FC – with Lynn Williams, Kelley O’Hara, Midge Purce, Jenna Nighswonger, Crystal Dunn, Tierna Davidson, Rose Lavelle, and Emily Sonnett – will host NWSL Shield winner San Diego Wave FC with Alex Morgan, Abby Dahlkemper, Naomi Girma, and Jaedyn Shaw.

On Sunday, March 24, Gotham FC kicks off the regular season on the road against the Portland Thorns at Providence Park in Portland (7 p.m. ET, ESPN2) before traveling for a quarterfinal rematch against the North Carolina Courage on Saturday, March 20 in Cary, North Carolina (7 p.m. ET,
Gotham FC will return to Red Bull Arena for the club’s highly anticipated regular season home opener on Sunday, April 14 against the Kansas City Current (6 p.m. ET,  Fans can register for the priority presale at to be among the first to purchase home opener tickets, when they go on sale on Feb. 6.
In the coming weeks, Gotham FC will announce the plans for theme nights associated with each home match. Fans are encouraged to visit for more information on season tickets, multi-game packs, and single game tickets.
Gotham FC’s exciting kickoff for 2024 will feature CarMax as the presenting partner for the regular season, providing exclusive ticket promotions in addition to collaborating on a season-long content series that appears across all Gotham FC platforms.

  • Gotham FC will host a two-game homestand with matches against Racing Louisville on Sunday, April 28 (5 p.m. ET, and against NC Courage on Saturday, May 4 (7:30 p.m. ET, ION).
  • Fans will experience an action-packed June with a three-game homestand, when Gotham FC hosts San Diego Wave on Wednesday, June 19 (7 p.m. ET,, Washington Spirit on Sunday, June 23 (12:30 p.m. ET, ESPN), and a rematch of the title game against Seattle Reign on Sunday, June 30 (1 p.m. ET, ESPN).


  • The league’s robust broadcast schedule has Gotham FC featured in seven games across the ESPN family of networks.
  • Six Gotham FC matches will air on CBS, including five on the CBS Broadcast Network and one on CBS Sports Network.
  • Gotham FC’s first appearance on Prime Video will be the NWSL Challenge Cup, with a second Prime Video match airing on Friday, May 24 (10 p.m. ET) away at Bay FC.
  • The club will have three broadcasts on Scripps-owned ION network, which is available over-the-air in 123 million homes.

League Breaks:

  • The NWSL will take the CBA-mandated league break from July 8 to 14.
  • The NWSL will also break from league play from July 15 to Aug. 18 during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
  • During the Paris Olympics, the league will organize a tournament, featuring international participants and all 14 NWSL clubs, beginning the weekend of July 19-21. Further details regarding the competition and format are forthcoming.


  • Following the regular season, eight clubs will qualify for the expanded 2024 NWSL Playoffs.
  • The postseason will now consist of four quarterfinal matches and eliminate byes to the semifinals.
  • The quarterfinal round will take place the weekend of November 9-10 ahead of the semifinal round set for the weekend of November 16-17.
  • The 2024 campaign will conclude with the NWSL Championship on November 23.
