The 23-player roster features Gotham FC players Tierna Davidson, Crystal Dunn, Rose Lavelle, Jenna Nighswonger, Midge Purce, Emily Sonnett, and Lynn Williams.

Davidson was the first of Gotham FC’s class of 2024 free agents to sign with the club in the off-season. The Menlo Park, California, native has appeared in 51 matches for the USWNT, where she has recorded one goal and seven assists. Before joining Gotham FC, Davidson was with the Chicago Red Stars, where she played and started in all 18 matches and recorded 1,613 minutes. She also registered a 66.7% tackle success rate and 65.9% duel success rate. Davidson was most recently a part of the last December training camp for the national team.

After being one of the most sought after free agents last off-season, Dunn joins Gotham FC ahead of the 2024 NWSL season. Dunn was nominated for 2023 U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year for her stellar play for club and country. In 2023 with the USWNT, she started in all 14 of her appearances and recorded 970 minutes, while helping the team to one of its best defensive years to date with the lowest goals allowed per game average (0.17) in any year in program history (min. 10 games). Dunn is making her return to the USWNT roster since last being called up in October 2023.

Nighswonger was selected as a midfielder for her first full national team training camp in December 2023 after a sensational rookie season in the NWSL. She continued to add to her impressive list of accolades in 2023 including being named the 2023 NWSL Rookie of the Year, Best XI Second Team, as well as earning six NWSL awards throughout the regular season. In a pair of friendlies against China PR, she made her national team debut as a substitute on December 2, 2023 and earned her first start on December 5, 2023.

Lavelle was also a part of the club’s free agent signings in the off-season. Since her first appearance in 2017, Lavelle has been a consistent presence on the USWNT, registering 92 caps and notching 24 goals. In 2019, she emerged as a new star for her breakout performance in the 2019 FIFA World Cup, where she scored a memorable game-clinching goal to win the World Cup title. For her stellar performance, she earned the Bronze Ball as the third-best player in the tournament and was named to the FIFA FIFPro World XI.

Purce was also a part of the December USWNT Roster after she was named the NWSL Championship MVP for her stellar performance against OL Reign in the 2023 season finale. The forward contributed two impressive assists in the final to lead Gotham FC to a 2-1 win. Purce joined Lauren Holiday (2014, FCKC) as the only players with two assists in an NWSL final. With the stars and stripes, the forward has earned 26 caps and scored four goals.

She was part of the 2019 Women's World Cup-winning squad along with Gotham FC teammates Davidson, Dunn, Lavelle, and Kelley O'Hara. Additionally, she has been a part of six SheBelieves Cup championships.

Williams scored the opening goal in the NWSL Championship game to help the club secure its first NWSL Championship. The goal was Williams’ second in a final and her fourth career playoff goal. In addition, she became the first player in league history to start in five finals. In recognition of her reliable performance throughout the regular season, Williams earned 2023 Best XI First Team honors. With the USWNT, the forward has scored 17 goals in 59 caps.
