HARRISON, NJ (Thursday, January 2, 2025) - NJ/NY Gotham FC announced today that midfielder McCall Zerboni has departed the club to pursue other opportunities.

“Thank you to the entire Gotham community for my time with the club,” said Zerboni. “I am leaving with many memories and as a better human being and player. I am grateful for all the support that helped both me and Gotham FC grow and win trophies together.”

Zerboni joined Gotham FC in 2020 following a trade with the North Carolina Courage. Over her five years with the club, she made 94 appearances in all NWSL competitions, the fifth most in club history. In 5,655 minutes of play, Zerboni collected six goals and three assists. The midfielder also captained Gotham FC on multiple occasions in each of her last four seasons with the club.

In 2024, Zerboni played in all five NWSL x Liga MX Femenil Summer Cup matches, helping Gotham FC reach the final. She also scored the opening goal in a 4-4 draw with Tigres UANL Femenil in the CONCACAF W Champions Cup, securing the club's place in the Final Stage of the competition. In 2023, Zerboni made 16 appearances, including five starts in NWSL play, helping Gotham FC win its first NWSL Championship.

“McCall has been an integral part of Gotham FC for the past five years,” said Gotham FC General Manager and Head of Soccer Operations Yael Averbuch West. “She has been a leader at the club and we are deeply grateful for everything she has contributed. We wish her all the best in her next chapter.”

Before joining Gotham FC, Zerboni spent three seasons with the North Carolina Courage, where she helped the team win the NWSL Shield and Championship in 2019. In 2018, she became the first NWSL player to reach 10,000 career minutes.
