Shaw burst onto the international stage in 2018, helping the United States win the Concacaf Girls’ Under-15 Championship and earning the Golden Ball as the tournament’s top player. In 2022, she was named U.S. Soccer Young Female Player of the Year, selected to the Best XI at the Sud Ladies Cup and started all three matches at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica. In 2024, she was named to the U.S. roster for the Summer Olympics and scored the opening goal in a 2–1 win over Japan at the SheBelieves Cup, becoming the first player in program history to score in each of her first five starts; she also claimed the Golden Ball at the Concacaf W Gold Cup after scoring four times. In 2025, she was selected to the U.S. roster for the SheBelieves Cup earlier in the year, then returned to the senior national team in October after spending the previous two windows with the U-23s.
