Andre Sherard

Andre Sherard joined Gotham FC in May 2024 as the club’s lead scout. In his role, Sherard works closely with the general manager and technical staff to identify target markets and evaluate players at both the professional and collegiate levels.

Sherard brings more than 13 years of experience in scouting, having previously served as a regional college scout with Sporting Kansas City from 2012 to 2015 and the Portland Timbers from 2015 to 2020. He holds a Soccer Management and Scouting Worldwide (SMWW) certification and earned a bachelor’s degree in geography from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

A native of Greenville, North Carolina, Sherard is passionate about evaluating players across different markets and understanding how varied playing styles translate to the NWSL and fit within Gotham FC’s team model. Outside of soccer, he enjoys hiking and reading. A fun fact: he lived in New Zealand for just under a year.
