Haley Leo joined Gotham FC as a physical therapist in February 2025. In her role, she manages rehabilitation programs for athletes recovering from both long- and short-term injuries, supports daily treatments and activation work, provides manual therapy as needed and helps establish injury-management protocols.
Before arriving at Gotham, Leo worked as a physical therapist at Ultrahealth Physical Therapy (2018–20), Peak Physical Therapy (2020–21) and Howard Head Sports Medicine (2021–25). She also served as a contracted physical therapist with the Premier Lacrosse League from 2023–24 and with U.S. Ski & Snowboard from 2023–25. She has seven years of professional experience.
Leo holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Drexel University and a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from the University of Delaware. She completed the Howard Head Sports Residency and is a Sports Certified Specialist. Her areas of expertise include injury prevention, vestibular rehabilitation, neuromuscular re-education and return-to-sport preparation using research-based methods.
She is passionate about advancing care for female athletes and values the chance to work closely with highly skilled players and clinicians. A Mendham, New Jersey, native, she enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, crocheting, reading and baking. A fun fact: she has a dedicated cake Instagram.
Leo is excited to contribute to a club committed to elevating standards for women’s sports both internally and externally.
