Marla Saracino joined Gotham FC in April 2025 as the club’s security and facilities manager. In her role, she oversees all safety, security and facility operations, managing day-to-day security tasks and ensuring the well-being of players and staff at the training facility, during home matches and while traveling.

Saracino came to Gotham after retiring as a detective captain in the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force, where she served for more than 25 years. Her decorated career includes a Meritorious Unit Citation from the Passaic County 200 Club Valor Awards (2024), a State of New Jersey Joint Legislative Resolution (2024), the New Jersey Narcotic Enforcement Officers Association Lifetime Achievement Award (2023), recognition from the Honor Legion of the Police Departments of the State of New Jersey (2019) and the NJ Women in Law Enforcement Abigail Powlett Police Officer of the Year Award (2018).

She holds a master’s degree in administrative science from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Marist College. Saracino is certified in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association and is licensed as an armed security officer in New Jersey.

Saracino’s professional philosophy centers on dedicating significant time and care to each task, approaching her work with professionalism, purpose and a commitment to producing reliable, high-quality results. She values creating a safe, stable and supportive environment that allows players and staff to perform at their best.

A native of Wayne, New Jersey, Saracino is passionate about player safety and thrives under pressure—qualities she believes allow her to make a meaningful impact within the organization. She previously played Division I softball for Marist College.

Outside of soccer, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family, friends and dogs. What excites her most about working for Gotham FC is witnessing the team’s growth and knowing she plays a small role in supporting its success.
