Gotham FC Celebrates Pride presented by Flamingo on Aug. 28
JERSEY CITY, N.J. (Aug. 27, 2026) - Gotham FC will host its annual Pride Match, presented by Flamingo, on Friday, Aug. 28, when the club welcomes Portland Thorns FC to Sports Illustrated Stadium for a celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Flamingo, the award-winning body care brand redefining self-care and supporting women in building better relationships with their bodies, serves as the Official Razor of Gotham FC after signing on as a partner in June 2025. Through its presenting sponsorship, Flamingo and Gotham FC will spotlight body appreciation, and continue to celebrate athletes who embody strength, individuality and self-expression.
To kick off festivities, there will be rainbow fans and exclusive fanny packs available to the first 5,000 fans, courtesy of Flamingo.
Tony Award- and Grammy-winning performer Lauren Patton and Flamingo mascot Phoebe will participate in the club’s signature prematch torch-lighting ceremony, which will culminate with World Cup champions and Olympic gold medalists Tobin Heath and Christen Press.
For the third consecutive year, New York’s own Jan Sport will perform the national anthem on gameday. The American drag queen and singer shot to international prominence on Season 12 of RuPaul’s Drag Race and placed seventh on the sixth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars.
Gameday programming also includes Strut Your Pride, presented by Flamingo, in which 10 lucky fans will take the field at halftime for a fashion-show walkoff featuring colorful outfits, high energy and plenty of dancing. Flamingo will also team up with the Women’s Sports Foundation at Sports Illustrated Stadium throughout the match to share key findings from the recently announced study entitled Built to Move: The Powerful Impact of Physical Activity and Sport for Women.

Fan Fest, presented by CarMax
Beginning at 5:30 p.m., Fan Fest, presented by CarMax, will open to the public and feature a Pride sign-making station and fan photo booth, presented by Flamingo. Fan Fest will also feature an exclusive RE-INC ticket bundle opportunity that includes the organization’s “football loves you” t-shirt and a tee customization experience with RE-INC’s Press and Heath.
Additional Fan Fest activities include the Panini interactive digital trading card booth, the RWJ Barnabas Health Mini Pitch, the Dove Bead Bar, the Tylenol Zone, tabling from RMA of New York and sampling from Grüns and Yoggies.
Drag Soirée
Start dancing the night away early with Gotham FC’s Drag Soiree in Hype House, featuring live performances by stars of the New York City drag scene like Athena and Chelsea Piers. The ticket bundle includes a seat for the match, entry to the show and a drink ticket. For more information, click here.
