ORLANDO, Fla. (Oct. 23, 2026) – Gotham FC travels this weekend to face the Orlando Pride at Inter.co Stadium in its final road match of the 2026 NWSL regular season, with the race for the NWSL Shield and top NWSL Playoffs seeding entering a critical final stretch.
Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. ET Sunday, with CBS Sports Network carrying the national broadcast. NWSL+ will also air the match for free. For more details on how to find NWSL+, visit here.
With just two matches remaining in the regular season, Gotham FC (16-5-7, 55 points) holds a one-point lead over second-place San Diego and three-point lead over third-place Washington in the race for the NWSL Shield, given to the league’s regular season champion. Gotham FC could clinch its first Shield in club history Sunday with a win, San Diego loss and Washington loss or draw.
The reigning champions aim to rebound from a 1-0 road loss to the Washington Spirit this past Saturday, when a 70th-minute goal from Lucia Di Guglielmo snapped Gotham FC's five-match unbeaten streak against Washington across all competitions.
Already eliminated from playoff contention, the Pride (11-14-3, 36 points) returns home following a 2-1 victory at Houston this past Sunday. Luana converted a first-half penalty and rookie Solai Washington scored her first professional goal in the win, while Marta recorded her 20th career assist for the Pride. Orlando has now scored in 10 consecutive league matches, its longest such streak since 2024.
Sunday's match marks the second meeting between Gotham FC and Orlando since last season's NWSL semifinals and Gotham FC's first trip to Inter.co Stadium since its dramatic victory over the Pride secured a berth in the 2025 NWSL Championship. The clubs last met March 29 at Sports Illustrated Stadium, playing to a scoreless draw in a tightly contested match in which Gotham FC generated 11 corner kicks and created several dangerous scoring opportunities.
Gotham FC holds a 12-9-8 all-time record against Orlando across all competitions and is unbeaten in its last three meetings with the Pride, recording two wins and one draw. Gotham FC has also won its last two visits to Inter.co Stadium.
Following Sunday's match, Gotham FC will return to Sports Illustrated Stadium to host the Utah Royals on Nov. 1 for NWSL Decision Day, the final matchday of the regular season when all 16 teams play simultaneously. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. ET.
