Matchup, Kickoff Time Set for Gotham FC’s Home NWSL Playoff Quarterfinal
HARRISON, N.J. (Nov. 1, 2026) - Gotham FC will host Seattle Reign FC at 12:30 p.m. ET Sunday at Sports Illustrated Stadium in the opening round of the 2026 NWSL Playoffs, presented by Google Pixel, the league confirmed Sunday evening.
Gotham FC, which won the first NWSL Shield in club history earlier Sunday, earned home-field advantage for the quarterfinals and semifinal by clinching the No. 1 seed in the NWSL postseason bracket. Seattle qualified for the playoffs with a 1-0 Sunday against the Orlando Pride.
ABC and ESPN Deportes will carry the national broadcast of the game, with the stream on the ESPN App for unlimited subscribers.

Gotham FC (18-5-7, 61 points) enters the postseason following a historic campaign, finishing the 2026 regular season with the most points, wins and shutouts in club history. Despite its recent success, with five major competitive trophies in three years, Gotham FC had not previously finished higher than third in the NWSL standings. The club won the 2023 and 2025 NWSL Championship matches as the lowest seed in that postseason tournament.
Head-to-head with Seattle, Gotham FC won twice this year, including a riveting three-goal comeback late in the second half to top the Reign 3-2 at Icahn Stadium in mid-July. Rose Lavelle scored the game-winner eight minutes into second-half stoppage time.
Seattle Reign (14-11-5, 47 points) reached the postseason thanks in large part to improved form in the second half of the season. Coach Laura Harvey’s team won nine matches after the NWSL’s summer break, including a series sweep of second-place San Diego and a shutout victory over archrival Portland.
