HARRISON, NJ (November 8, 2023) – NJ/NY Gotham FC of the National Women’s Soccer League is pleased to welcome new minority owner and strategic investor, Next 3 Founder and CEO Carolyn Tisch Blodgett.

Carolyn is leading the investment with backing from the Tisch family, including New York Football Giants co-owners Laurie, Jonathan and Steve Tisch.

They join a high-profile ownership group that includes founding owners Tammy Murphy, Phil Murphy, and Steven Temares, as well as Eli Manning, Sue Bird, Kevin Durant, Carli Lloyd, Pete Guelli, Rich Kleiman, Ed Nalbandian, Bobby Cho, Steve Kokinos, Jennifer and Scott Mackesy and KB2.

“I am delighted to welcome and work alongside Carolyn,” said Club Chair Tammy Murphy. “She’s an accomplished executive who was instrumental in building the Peloton brand into a household name and later turned her professional focus toward representing her family’s interests with the New York Football Giants. Carolyn’s work ethic, track record of success, and overall knowledge of the sports world will be tremendous assets to our club as we continue to build for the future.”

Tisch Blodgett and her family, known for their strong local legacy, success in building iconic businesses, prominent presence in the New York philanthropic landscape, and 30-plus years of experience in co-owning and operating the New York Football Giants will help build on, and accelerate, Gotham FC’s success in New Jersey, New York and beyond. She will also sit on the NWSL Board of Governors as the Alternate Governor to Tammy Murphy, creating a powerful women-led duo representing Gotham FC.

“We’re in the midst of writing a new chapter in the history of women's sports. I believe that together with Tammy, the extended Gotham FC ownership, Commissioner Berman and the NWSL, we have the opportunity to elevate our players as leaders, not just in women’s sports, but sports – period,” said Tisch Blodgett.

“With Gotham FC, this is our chance to create an iconic global franchise,” she continued. “We have some of the world’s greatest athletes right here in our own backyard and I’m excited to work with the team to shine a brighter light on them, build a world-class fan experience for our local community and leave an indelible mark on society that will inspire the next generation of young girls and boys.

Prior to joining Gotham FC, Tisch Blodgett was the Head of Global Marketing at Peloton, which she helped transform from a little-known fitness start-up into the global leader in connected fitness and a household name. In addition to leading Next 3, Carolyn also acts as Strategic Advisor to the Tisch Ownership Group, which co-owns the New York Football Giants, representing their interest across the business. She has received several prestigious awards including Crain’s 40 under 40, Business Insider’s 25 Most Innovative CMOs in the World, AdAge 40 under 40, and AdAge’s Most Powerful Women in Sports.

These strategic investors are joining Gotham FC at an exciting time for the club. As the metropolitan area prepares to host the 2026 World Cup, the energy behind the region’s home team, Gotham FC, is stronger than ever. In addition to advancing to the NWSL Championship for the first time in the Club’s history, Gotham FC set a single game attendance record of 15,000 fans this season.
