HARRISON, NJ (Friday, November 8, 2024) - NJ/NY Gotham FC midfielders Rose Lavelle and Yazmeen Ryan as well as forward Esther were named to the National Women’s Soccer League’s (NWSL) Best XI of the Month, presented by Prime for October and November, it was announced today. 

Lavelle earns her second Best XI of the Month, previously she earned the honors in June. In October and November, the midfielder recorded two goals and eight  tackles won along with 19 duels won. The Cincinnati native added eight total shots, with  five on target, plus a passing accuracy of 83.8 percent in 334 minutes played. 

This is also Ryan’s second time being named to the Best XI this season, as she earned the honors in September. Ryan played in four matches, logging one goal and  one assist while adding seven dribbles past opponents, eight tackles won and one interception throughout October and November. The Oklahoma native took eight total shots, with four on target. 

Esther earns her first Best XI recognition of the season after an impressive showing in October and November. The Spanish forward played four matches, tallying five goals and one  assist, including two braces. Further, Esther totaled 11 total  shots, seven on target along with a passing accuracy of 80.88 percent. 

Gotham FC will play in its first-ever home playoff match against the Portland Thorns on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 3 p.m. ET at Red Bull Arena (ABC).
