HARRISON, NJ (Friday, September 13, 2024) – NJ/NY Gotham FC will travel to Seattle to face the Seattle Reign on Monday, Sept. 16 at Lumen Field (10 p.m. ET, CBS).

The club is coming off a thrilling 2-1 victory over the Houston Dash at Red Bull Arena this past weekend. The match was tied heading into stoppage time, and with just minutes to go before the final whistle, forward Esther drove the ball into goal to secure Gotham FC’s 11th win of the season.

In the match, Yazmeen Ryan also scored in the tenth minute, landing her third goal of the season. Ryan’s three goals ranks third on the team this year. Lynn Williams and Esther both tacked on assists in the match as well.

Seattle overcame an early 1-0 deficit to Angel City in their last match, conceding a goal in the eighth minute. However, first-half goals from Sofia Huerta and Jin So-Yun put the Reign ahead by halftime. Each team scored once in the second half, leading to a 3-2 victory for Seattle.

In the standings, Gotham FC maintains its fourth place ranking, sitting just one point behind the Kansas City Current. Seattle ranks 10th, two spots and just three points out of a playoff position.

The last matchup between the two clubs was on June 30th in the Olympic Send Off game at Red Bull Arena. The teams drew 1-1 with midfielder Rose Lavelle scoring Gotham FC’s lone goal in the 47th minute.
