HARRISON, NJ (Wednesday, September 18, 2024) – NJ/NY Gotham FC returns to Concacaf W Champions Cup group play at Red Bull Arena against CF Monterrey Rayadas on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 7:00 p.m. EST on the CBS Golazo Network. 

In the team’s most recent Champions Cup match on Sept. 5, Gotham FC secured a 4-0 victory over LD Alajuelense, which elevated the club to the top of the group standings. The win showcased a balanced attack, with four different players contributing to the scoresheet.

It is a busy week for Gotham FC with three games. Coming off a 2-0 victory against the Seattle Reign on Monday, the team will face Rayadas on Thursday before finishing the week against the Utah Royals on Sunday. 

In its win over Seattle, the team showcased impressive defensive strength. Gotham FC achieved its seventh shutout of the season, making them the second-best in the NWSL in that category. With goals from Delanie Sheehan and Esther, the club climbed to third place in the league, its highest position this season.
