2025 (Gotham FC): Returned to Gotham FC midseason after a stint with Crystal Palace 2024-25 (Crystal Palace): Finished the WSL season as Crystal Palace’s joint top goalscorer, with four goals. 2024 (Gotham FC): Featured in 15 NWSL matches, including eight starts, recording one assist. 2023 (Gotham FC): Joined Gotham FC on loan for her first stint, playing eight matches in NWSL for the club, scoring two goals and winning an NWSL Championship with Gotham. 2022-23 (Liverpool): Started in 20 of her 21 appearances in the WSL for Liverpool, scoring nine goals 2021 (Vålerenga): Scored four goals in 11 matches with Vålerenga in the Norweigian top division. 2020-21 (Houston Dash): Spent two seasons with the Houston Dash, making appearances in the NWSL Fall Series and Challenge Cup. 2019-20 (Canberra United): Scored one goal in three matches with the Australian side. 2019 (Utah Royals): Made 24 appearances, including 16 starts, collecting two goals and one assist. 2018-19 (Newcastle Jets): Tallied three goals and two assists in six starts in the W-League. 2018 (Utah Royals): Scored six goals with the Utah Royals in 23 appearances. 2017 (Boston Breakers/Washington Spirit): Began the 2017 NWSL season with the Boston Breakers, before joining the Washington Spirit. 2016 (Washington Spirit): In her first season in the NWSL, recorded four goals and one assist in 19 matches played. 2014-15 (Bayern Munich): Helped lead Bayern to the Frauen Bundesliga title, leading the team with nine goals.
COLLEGE
Stengel is regarded as the most accomplished player in Wake Forest history, earning three NSCAA All-America honors, including First Team recognition in 2011. A four-time All-ACC selection and the 2011 ACC Offensive Player of the Year, she set school records with 50 goals and 125 points in just 75 matches. She led the ACC in scoring in 2010 and 2011, becoming the first player to do so as both a freshman and sophomore since Mia Hamm. A two-time MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist, Stengel also helped the U.S. win the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup and was the first Demon Deacon called up to the U.S. Women’s National Team.
INTERNATIONAL
Stengel helped the United States win the 2012 CONCACAF Women’s U-20 Championship and went on to score three goals in four appearances at the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, where the U.S. claimed the title. She later represented the U.S. at the U-23 level and received her first senior national team call-up in March 2014 under head coach Tom Sermanni, though she has not yet earned a cap.
