HARRISON, NJ (Tuesday, February 27, 2024) - NJ/NY Gotham FC today unveiled their vibrant new primary and secondary uniforms in conjunction with the National Women’s Soccer League and NIKE, Inc. The reveal marks the first time in history that a women’s professional soccer league has received a league-wide kit reset, as Nike hits refresh on the primary and secondary uniforms for all 14 teams in the NWSL.
 
Drawing inspiration from the colors and landscapes of the areas where NWSL clubs live and play, each club’s new collection emphasizes pride in their community and belief in their team — celebrating the connection between athletes and fans, while ensuring players are sporting the latest in performance innovation while they play.
 
Gotham FC and CarMax today announced that the club's official automotive retailer has become the Marquee Partner through a new multi-year agreement that cements an increased commitment to the club while also increasing brand visibility for CarMax through prominent logo placement on the front of Gotham FC jerseys.
 
An additional enhancement for Gotham FC will be a star above the club’s crest in honor of its 2023 NWSL Championship victory.
 
Gotham FC’s primary kit pays tribute to New York City and its skyline on the canvas of a chic black backdrop. The club’s signature Gotham blue emanates the light of the players both on and off the field, beginning as specks of blue highlights that visibly intensify into the full representation of color. The jersey design reflects the shared mentality of the team that there are no limits to what it can conquer in this bustling city, and it embodies a raw determination as well as an unmistakable swagger to rise up.
 
The primary kit also features the club’s iconic black sash, which signifies the Hudson River that unites Gotham FC’s beloved home fans in New York and New Jersey.
 
The primary kit’s dynamic design mirrors the team’s style of play and finishes with the structure of solid black shorts. The sash cuts through the two triangles, nodding to the Gotham FC’s on-field approach of “tactical order” and the freedom to create “organized chaos.”
 
League-wide, the kit designs reflect each club’s identity, provide a sense of joyful expression, and celebrate the energy created by sport for the teams and their communities.
 
While the primary kits are where the individual club’s unique stories come to life, the secondary kits, which feature a gradient shift from dark to light use club colors, speak to the strength of the collective. Gotham FC’s secondary kit is in line with the league’s collective gradient, radiating from the jersey’s light upper portion that fades into a deeper Gotham blue on the lower half, and is completed with blue shorts.
