Gotham FC’s Theme Night and Celebration games represent the club's commitment to inclusivity and community engagement by honoring and recognizing the diverse backgrounds and cultures of its fans and players. These occasions reinforce the welcoming atmosphere that reflects the spirit and values of different communities, ensuring that everyone feels a part of the Gotham FC gameday experience.

CHAMPIONSHIP CELEBRATION WITH BANNER RAISING & RING CEREMONY

Sunday, April 14 - Gotham FC vs. KC Current

In honor of NJ/NY Gotham FC winning the 2023 National Women’s Soccer League Championship, the first in club history, the team will celebrate with a special banner unveiling and ring ceremony at the regular season home opener. Global soccer icon and former Gotham FC captain Ali Krieger will participate in a pregame meet-and-greet with fans before two-time Super Bowl champion Gotham FC co-owner Eli Manning will take part in the torch lighting ceremony alongside Robin Arzón, Vice President of Fitness Programming and Head Instructor at Peloton.

Fans are encouraged to arrive in their favorite black Gotham FC swag or purchase exclusive blackout merchandise available in the stadium only.

LGBTQIA+ KICKABOUT

Sunday, April 28 - Gotham FC vs. Racing Louisville

Gotham FC will recognize the power of bringing communities together during Lesbian Visibility Week 2024 by joining forces with The Big Kickabout to host a pregame opportunity that lets fans be a part of a global initiative to (unofficially) break the WORLD RECORD for the biggest collection of people kicking around a ball on the same date. Leaning into the mantra of “unified, not uniform,” The Big Kickabout celebrates the power of sisterhood by uplifting incredible LGBTQIA+ women and non-binary people from every generation, in every field, and in every country around the world. Reinforcing the club’s commitment to the importance of providing mental health resources for those on and off the pitch, Gotham FC will host Mental Health Awareness Night presented by RWJBarnabas Health as a part of Mental Health Awareness Month. RWJBarnabas Health is Gotham FC’s official health care provider.

Saturday, June 8 - Gotham FC vs. Angel City

Gotham FC will host its highly-anticipated annual Pride Night as a celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community during the East-versus-West showdown against Angel City FC.

Wednesday, June 19 - Gotham FC vs. San Diego Wave

With a match on Juneteenth, Gotham FC will host a commemorative celebration of the national holiday, as the club shines a light on Black culture by developing special highlights and featured elements in collaboration with the National Women’s Soccer League and Black Women’s Player Collective.
